ANGIE LEMON

I am an independent publicist specialising in global, folk, contemporary classical, ambient and jazz music, with a particular interest in helping independent world and folk musicians promote their artistic products. I have been a professional publicist for over 25 years after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Social and Economic Studies. 

Since 1992 I have worked in the arts sector promoting artists, musicians, painters, composers and creatives. Between 2014 to 2018, I worked as the publicist for the ARC Music label in the UK, promoting albums from many world musicians, including such greats as Hossam Ramzy, Baluji Shrivastav, Seckou Keita, Bilja Krstić & the Bistrik Orchestra, Hanitra, Kiran Ahluwalia, Insingizi, Linas Rimša, Mary Ann Kennedy, Marta Gómez Sakinya, Saor Patrol, Srdjan Beronja, Vigüela and Yale Strom. 

Since 2018, I have been working as a freelance publicist with a variety of incredible signed and unsigned musicians and their managers, booking agents and record labels. The latter include Cooking Vinyl, Odradek Records, 10th District Music, Galileo MC, Chandos Records and Smithsonian Folkways, all of which have released music from luminaries in the world and roots music communities. I pride myself in working with signed and unsigned artists and will often consult in projects from the start to ensure sustainable campaigns.
